YOUTH FISHING DAY

Cold was the word of the day, damp air and a north wind could not stop the youth fishing day sponsored by the Texas Parks and Wildlife, assisted by the Hopkins County Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation, and in conjunction with the Buster Family Foundation. This 20 plus year tradition at the Sulphur Springs City Park was a true success judging by the smiles and laughter of our future hunting and fishing enthusiasts. (more…)

Trout Fishing in the park Feb 6 2010

Youth Trout fishing in Sulphur Springs City Park  Feb 6th 2010. A long standing spring tradition in Hopkins county has been the youth spring rainbow trout fish day in the city park in Sulphur Springs, Tx., and the tradition lives on today. Texas Parks and Wildlife will stock the park pound prior to the fishing event set to start at 12:oo pm on the 6th. So come out and enjoy the festivities and meet some of the folks from Texas Parks and Wildlife as well as the local chapter of the National Wild Turkeyy Federation.
