Freshwater Spinning Reels

Ah the spinning reel. For many of us this was the first reel we ever fished with. And for good reason. Spinning reels are easy to cast, cheep to buy, and fun to fish with. They also have none of the annoying drawbacks of a baitcast reel. Where by I mean they don't get horrid back lashes than make you want to cus your grand ma. They are marked by an ease of use that no other reel surpasses and the ability to cast the lightest tackle possibly short of a fly rod. There's also something timelessly magical about watching a fine spinning reel in action. Something you just don;t get with a baitcast. About the only real drawback to a spinning reel is their tendency to twist the line when fighting large drag ripping fish.
