Shipping FAQ
I sent you guys an email and all I got was a response redirecting me to this page. What gives?
We do apologize for that. We receive over 100 emails per day from our customers. Most of those questions can be answered here. If your question is answered on this page you WILL NOT receive a response from us. If you’ve read this page and you still have questions please feel free to email us again at the email address located on the bottom of this page. We promise a real live human being will answer your question.
Is this (insert name of thing I’m interested in) new?
Yes. Unless otherwise stated everything we sell is new in box with the manufacturers original warranty.
Do you ship to my country?
Yes. That is unless you live in Brazil or Italy. Nothing against those countries but over 90% of our charge-backs occur from customers that live in those two countries. As I am writing this post we currently have 5 pending charge-backs. 3 are from Brazil and 2 are from Italy. All are for non receipt of goods. I’m pretty sure this is due in large part to the fact that they have sucky postal services. Nonetheless effective this day, March 28th in the year of 2011 we hear by decree that we no longer ship to the aforementioned countries of Brazil or Italy.
How much does it cost to ship to my country?
$1,000,000 dollars. Not really. We charge one simple flat rate for all international shipping depending on the size and quantity of the items you are purchasing. It’s really simple to estimate the shipping cost for your order. Take the item with the largest shipping cost. You pay full price for it. For every item after that you will pay roughly 50% of it’s shipping cost. You got that? 100% for the first item and ~ %50 for everything else.
For State Side orders, figuring your shipping cost is exactly the same as above since we offer flat rate shipping to all 50 states.

Will you mark a lower value on my customs form than what I paid for my order?
No. We don’t feel like possibly going to jail for mail fraud just so you can save a few dollars in customs taxes.
But I’ve ordered stuff from other sites before and they marked a lower customs value?!
No.
But..
No Buts! And if you ask again I’m sending my team of trained ninja assassin pirate monkeys to sneak in to your house beat you with limp asparagus while you sleep.
How do you ship?
We offer shipping via USPS (United States Postal Service). Other shipping providers are available upon request.
What Shipping Services do you offer?
We typically ship by the following methods:
- Parcel Post – our standard international service
- Priority – our standard state side service
- Express Mail – if you want to get your order fast, this is the best way to ship.
- Global Express Mail 3 Day Guarantee - expensive but quick international shipping
Do you combine shipping?
Yes we do. Shipping will be automatically calculated at checkout.
When will my item arrive?
It depends… No seriously it does. We ship world wide and if you opt for our cheapest shipping method, which most people do, we honestly have no way of telling how fast your order will arrive at your door. With that said, most International orders take around 3 weeks to arrive, however it can take up to 5 weeks if customs decides to delay your order. For our State Side customers shipping is much quicker, usually taking less than 1 – 2 weeks to arrive.
Where is my order?
We don’t know. Sorry but we really don’t know. We ship out hundreds of orders a month and we just can not keep track of them all. All we can tell you is if your order has shipped or not and you can see that for your self simply by checking your order status on the site where you made your purchase. However once your order has shipped you can confirm shipment by entering the customs or delivery confirmation number attached to your order on the USPS website which you can find by clicking this link right here. If you’ve requested your order be shipped by Express mail then you can track your order by entering the number attached to your order on the aforementioned USPS website.
What’s the difference between Confirming a Shipment and Tracking a Shipment?
We blame eBay for this one. eBay uses the terminology “tracking number” for every shipping provider / method under the sun. Only 2 companies offer a true tracking number UPS and Fedex. USPS does NOT have a true tracking system.
If you are an international customer and have opted for our standard shipping method you will receive a customs number which you can use to verify your order has been shipped. USPS does NOT offer tracking information after your order leaves the U.S.A. Typically your customs number will not be updated after if reaches the sorting facility in Coppell Texas or if it is unlucky enough to get routed through customs in Chicago Illinois your customs number will receive an update once it arrives there. You might be able to use the customs number to track the package on your country’s postal website as SOME countries will use this number as the tracking number.
If you are a State Side customer you are in luck. You will receive a Delivery Confirmation number on every state side order which functions a lot like a real tracking number offered by UPS or Fedex.
If you upgraded your shipping method to Express Mail you will get an honest to goodness bona fide tracking number. Congratulations you will now be able to stalk your order throughout the entire shipping process.
5 Business Day Handling Time?! You’ve got to be kidding me!!!!!
We get emails like this all the time. As is clearly stated in all of our listings on every site in which we post items for sale we typically have a 5 business day shipping policy. This is for several reasons. First and for most we make our internet sales department work their fingers to the bone to stay on top of processing all of your orders but we can not always get them out the same day. No matter how hard we crack that whip, there’s just to much to do: emails to answer, boxes to pack, and customs forms to fill out. It all take time. Second, is the fact that we are constantly updating our inventory and we have no way to keep up with the number of products on hand versus what we have listed on the internet. We simply list our products on too many sites to keep them all up to date. If we are out of stock on any of the items you order we will order it from one of our suppliers. This process usually take about 5 business days.
Now that you’ve taken the time to read the entire FAQ, I hope you have found the answers to all of life’s questions. However if the answer you seek was not listed here we’d be happy to answer it for you. Just shoot us an email at questions@jcloutdoors.net and someone will get back to you as soon as is humanly possible.
