Cold was the word of the day, damp air and a north wind could not stop the youth fishing day sponsored by the Texas Parks and Wildlife, assisted by the Hopkins County Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation, and in conjunction with the Buster Family Foundation. This 20 plus year tradition at the Sulphur Springs City Park was a true success judging by the smiles and laughter of our future hunting and fishing enthusiasts.

A number of prizes were given out by both TPW, and NWTF ranging from new fishing rod combinations to soccer balls.
