I was sitting in my stand.

I hear some great tales when working behind the counter and some of them just have to be passed on. This is one of those that warrents ….Well you will see. This paticular hunter was approaching his stand a little before daylight and much to his disgust found his feeder occupied by some very large and hungry coons. He did shoo them away, and up a tree they went… His tree above his stand. No harm no foul, so he procedded to climb into his spot below the coons. So he was bringing his bow up, and they decided to come down for a visit and stoped on the limb just above his head. Well our hunter is getting ready to settle in for the morning hunt when said coons descide to get down from the tree, which requires them to come face to face with our hunter. Quick thinking hunter takes an arrow from his quiver and slaps the first coon in the melon and it quickly scampers back up to the limb above our hunters head, and sits there with his buddy. Now things are settling down in the tree and the sun is coming up. When our hunter reaches for his hat and realizes that his companions above him have relieved themselves of the additional internal pressure caused from gorging themselves on his corn. Well if you have not ever smelled Coon Dung its quite the experience…. Now in my opinion our hunters buddies perched above his head were doing him a favor by dropping all over his hat, Bow and sleeve and even in the seat of his stand, for what greater cover scent then that of fresh coon. All things being equal Matt harvested a wise old doe that morning and I think he should thank his new hunting buddies for there efforts………

Let me start this off by saying it could truly happen to anyone,  but this happened to a good friend this past season and it made it to the campfire so I thought I would pass it on for everyone to enjoy.
